Die Paraolympischen Spielen in Vancouver wurden am 12. März mit einer grossen Zeremonie eröffnet. Dabei wurde die Paraolympische Fahne gehievt. Die drei Farben in der Paraolympischen Fahne, sind die drei meist gebrauchten Farben von allen Nationalfahnen der Welt. Die drei Halbkreise in der Paraolympischen Fahnen, soll eine Bewegung darstellen. Denn alles soll in Bewegung sein während den Spielen.

The Paralympics Games are open

The Paralympics games in Vancouver were opened on March 12 ^th, with a big ceremony. They raised the Paralympics flag at the ceremony. The three colours on the Paralympics flag are the three most used colours from all national flags of the world and the three half circles are a symbol for moving, because all are in movement at the Paralympics Games.
